an 8x10 print of the inside cover poem from issue 19, written by Megan Crawford
you can’t breathe it in enough.
the alder, larch, cottonwood, dogwood, aspen—
I could never fill my lungs with the weight of the air;
sweet & ever-changing on the wind.
I could never dive in the water enough,
never hear the wings of the crow
enough.
if I could spend my days
with the river, sitting in
early evening sun half
asleep & half awake, I would.
for now,
these days
will be
enough.
